About Me

I’m a 30-year old gal who loves all things related to health, wellness, nutrition, and fitness.  I’m a slave to my desk job for 45 hours a week, but my real passion in life lies in all things active!  My world outside-of-work revolves around my beautiful daughter and my wonderful husband, our two precious poodles, and overall wellness & running.  A late bloomer to the health scene, I started working out and eating better in college after 18 years of a sedentary lifestyle and terrible nutrition.  I started running on the treadmill just as a cardio option, and I fell in love.  I ran my first 5K  in October of 2010, and after that I was hooked on races.  Since then, I have run 70+ races, including one full marathon and thirteen half marathons.  I’m a fan of long distances (although I have too many 5K’s in my history to count); my favorite distance is the half marathon.  I can’t say that I’m a super-fast runner, but I love to push myself and I try to do my best in every race that I run.  I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences as much as I enjoy sharing them with you.  =)
